Pre- and Post- Sugaring Advice
NOTE:
"In the interest of hygiene and the timeliness necessary for your bikini sugaring to be accomodated more comfortably, please be sure to trim long hair that has not been attended to longer than 3 months. Sugaring can remove hair that is quite short, however, we ask that if this is your first time or it has been more than 3months since your last bikini treatment, that you trim the hair to no shorter than a grain of rice"
About Exfoliation and Sugaring:
  • Exfoliating allows the Sugaring treatment to be less troublesome and results in a timely session as dead or dry skin can accumulate
  • We recommend using a loofah mitt or a back brush, 2-3 times a week in the bath or shower
  • Exfoliation promotes circulation and most importantly, frees the skin of excess build-up which often results in ingrown hair
  • Please do not exfoliate the day before, the day of, and the day after a treatment, as skin can easily become irritated

"Exfoliation should be a natural part of your body care regimen"
"A light facial exfoliation is recommended in between treatments of the face
"

Pre-Sugaring Advices:
  • Cleansing the the area to be Sugared thoroughly is appreciated
  • Please do not apply any facial/body creams or deodorants to the area to be Sugared the day of your treatment. This may cause the removal of hair to be more difficult. If you require moisturization, please use a lotion
  • Using a lotion after exfoliation, properly hydrates the skin, resulting in smoother, ingrown-free skin. Pat skin dry, then moisturize
  • If you are having a chest or back sugaring treatment, please bring a fresh, white cotton shirt to wear following treatment. Initial chest and back treatments may require extra attention. Please soak in epsom or dead sea salts 2-3 times a week, no longer than 15 minutes following treatment to these areas
Women: Please try to avoid timing your appointments with your cycle, as you may be more sensitive at this time
Post-Sugaring Advices:
  • If your skin is more sensitive, you may experience temporary redness. This reaction is normal, and most commonly disappears within an hour after treatment
  • Avoid direct heat such as, hot baths, or sun-tanning immediately following a treatment
  • Excessive perspiration may irritate the skin directly after a treatment. So, please do not workout immediately afterwards
  • A Dead Sea Salt Bath can be soothing, if you require a little extra TLC following your treatment
